ATMs in Nigeria are supported with Radmin software


Business challenges of providing remote support

Robert Johnson Technologies Limited (RJT) is one of Nigeria’s leading companies in the field of banking automation, and has more than 2,000 employees. RJT supports over 1,000 ATMs across the country, but the distances involved mean that the company has limited access to these machines.

"The banks we support have over 500 branches across the country. The greatest distance between two machines is 600 miles," said Arowolo Isaiah, Head of IT at Robert Johnson Technologies Limited. "We needed the remote support solution for internal use as well as to support our clients: first level help desk, software upgrades, copying ATM logs to the central server, and so on."

Radmin brings direct benefits for both RJT Ltd and its clients

"We got to know Radmin through our partner: it was one of the banks to which we supply ATMs that first suggested we implement Radmin. It was a great experience for us and has really helped our clients as well allowing us to accomplish many things on our ATMs spread throughout Nigeria," Arowolo Isaiah added.

The IT team uses Radmin for troubleshooting, updating ATMs, and occasionally providing online support to on-site engineers. According to Arowolo Isaiah, Radmin Full Control and File Transfer modes offered particularly useful functionality and helped the RJT IT staff to deliver prompt help desk services to their clients as well as increased service satisfaction.

"The average handling time for each support issue has gone down and we really see the benefits of using Radmin. Our banking sector customers also see the benefits. Actually, Radmin helps us to provide the best possible service to our clients," - concluded Arowolo Isaiah.
