I am wondering if the Advanced LAN Scanner has a way of scanning a range of IPs and returning only the servers on that subnet?

I apologize for asking questions most easily answered by downloading and installing the software, but there are very strict rules regarding this at my company.

Actually no, but you can gather information about
OS type
NetBIOS names
Time of Day
Groups and Users
Services
Shares
Drivers
Registry
Scan ports
Scan Transports
