IP scan & XP SP2's firewall

Hello,

I just noticed that the IP scan tool doesn't work when the machine has WinXP SP2's firewall turned on, what port does it try to connect to?

It's probably the same port as a PING uses as that also ain't working unless I dissable the firewall.

ok, found the problem...

start > settings > control panel > windows firewall > advanced > [ICMP] Settings > [X] Allow incoming echo requests

too bad that the IP scanner doesn't show the computer discription smile:(
