I am new to this product.

a. How can I set up to use PDA/Handphone via GPRS or Hotspot (not sure whether this is the standard term, but it means wireless broadband)?

b. Could I remotely control Windows XP PC?

c. Could I stop, launch any programs?

d. Could I grant another user to just view but not anything else?

HI,

I would like to know what will the data transfers between my GPRS device and the server using the software? This allows me to calculate the estimated charges base on data volume. Thanks.

Currently Win9x/NT/2000/XP are only supported. They dont have a client for Palm/CE/PocketPC or any other hand held deveice.

You can control Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP PC's

You should run VNC and your Windows machine.
For Palm devices you have the "PalmVNC" client.
A great combination is UltraVNC server on the Windows machine and PalmVNC2 client on your Palm device.

There's no PDA version now.

>b. Could I remotely control Windows XP PC?

Yes. Windows XP (all versions) and Windows Server 2003 are supported by RAdmin 2.1 with some limitations. The only known issues with RAdmin Server are:

1. Can't use "switch user" feature while Radmin Server is running. Use normal log off / log on instead.
2. Can't use "remote desktop/remote assistance" WinXP feature along with Radmin

There are no known issues with RAdmin Viewer under these OS's.

>c. Could I stop, launch any programs?

Sure.

>d. Could I grant another user to just
>view but not anything else?

Yes. You should inspect RAdmin's NT Security Permissions. On the PC is to be controlled remotely (and where RAdmin Server is installed) run "Settings for Remote Administrator server" from start menu group, press "Set password..." button, check "Enable NT Security" option, then press "Permissions" button. Now you should set permissions to achieve your tasks.
