I am trying to connect to a client machine over the internet. I read the help file on this, and unfortunately it appears not to be quite that simple.
I am using RAdmin v2.0, and both sides are connected to the internet via ADSL. The server (person that I am trying to attach to) is Win98, and I (client) am running Win2K, and I know the IP that I am trying to connect to.
- Do I have to add the external IP of my firewall or my default gateway IP to the IP filter on the Win98 client/server?
- Do I have to use 'connect through host' to my/client side? If so, how do I set this up?
I've run into these things too...
what we did in school to connect to a home machine is we installed RAdmin server on our server that had an outside access and IP. And you had to enter the pass for that server and that of the "destination" one..
-- Is it possible to do it the other way? -if i don't have an access to the outside ip owner machine?
