Hi,

Does anyone know what is involved in uninstalling Remote admin or disabling it centrally using SMS or logon script on Windows XP?

This is what I understand needs to happen to uninstall it, but I am not sure if anyone has tried this:

- Run r_server.exe with "/stop" command-line switch.
- Run r_server.exe with "/uninstall" command-line switch to prevent it from starting automatically.
- Delete all instances of r_server.exe

Can this be deployed centrally without user intervention? or will the uninstall require user intervention?

Does anyone know if Radmin can be disabled without uninstalling it i.e. through registry setting?

Thanks.

You may create a script or batch file which uninstalls Radmin and deletes its files.
Command line for Radmin to uninstall is
r_server.exe /stop
r_server.exe /uninstall

Radmin 2.2 uses files:
r_server.exe
admdll.dll (2.1 version only)
RADDRV.dll (NT 4.0 OS only)

Registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\RAdmin\v2.0\Server\
