Views: 5804Topic:: «NAT woes, Accessing computer behind inaccessible router» on forum: Network management general discussion
#1
I want to help my Dad (and some others) at a Retirement Community (RC). The RC offered them DSL, but it's through their bulk supplier. They control the routers, so I cannot redirect or open any ports. ForMyIP gives me their external IP, but not access to their actual computer behind the router.

Any ideas how to do so???

You can try creating a TCP/IP tunnel using software like SocksCap.

What Ilia is saying is you'll have to make some sort of a VPN (Virtual Private Network).
