Windows 8 compatibility?

Any ETA for Win8 compatibility?

Is Mr Z. in a good and productive mood?

Hello,

Any news about Windows 8 compatibilty?
The ETA is now past ...
Windows 8 compatibility?

I beg to differ:

1. I believe you, E.I., can implement Transparent clipboard in a few minutes, by combining two confusing menu entries into one keyboard shortcut.
2. Every remote control app has been doing Blank... for ages. Surely a sophisticated program, such as Radmin, can do it.
3. WOL complicated? Come on!

Windows 8 compatibility?

It would be a nice opportunity to release some of the minor improvements users have been asking for:

1. Transparent clipboard
2. Blank dsitant screen
3. WOL distant computer
4. ...

NAT traversal or even Call back would me a very desirable feature, but too much to hope for?

How is Mr. Z doing?

Regards

Windows 8 compatibility?

Thank you Eugene Idzikovsky for your reply.

Will this release also have some new features, other than compatibilty?

Is Radmin 3.4 fully compatible with Windows 8?
If not, when do you plan to issue an update? (Please, don't use the usual "No ETA".)

Thank you

I'm suspecting i will not get an answer i will like but is it expected to be released this year? Also, that about upgrading from v3.x, will there be a cost?
Two things youshoud know about Radmin:

1. It can take several YEARS for Radmin to release any minor/ major release.

2. They will not tell you ANY information about an estimated time of realase. When they did, in the past, they were off by a couple of years!

Any plans for implementing "callback" soon?

Is "callback" implemented in the current v3.0 ?
Call back function in Beta 2?

Famatech? Any hints?
Call back function in Beta 2?

Has the call back function been implemented in Radmin v3_beta2 ?

I looked for it, but couldnt't find it.
Next Beta?

Not to mention that there is a certain fascination in watching a train wreck.
I can only criticize the way Famatech has reneged on its word time and time again, and mistreated its customers.
Yet RAdmin is truly an extraordinary piece of software, that's probably the reason many are still hanging in here...

Thank you.
How is call-back supposed to work, in v3.0?

No, for callback connection someone at the remote side neat the computer with Radmin Server installed on it is needed and he/she should initiate "back" connection to Radmin Viewer.
Thank you for your reply.
Is the "e-mail" idea far-fetched or hard to implement?

I am using Radmin between an office and a home machine. The port blocking at work is set up in such a way that I can connect to the home machine from the office, but not to the office machine from home.

[Note that the office machines, in this case, all have public IP adresses]

Can the fothcoming "call back" capability be used to overcome such limitations without intervention at the router level?

Something like "waking up" the Radmin server on the office machine, perhaps by e-mail, to have it initiate a connection. Do I have it wrong?

It has nothing to do with security. The call-back is from the router, not from Radmin server.

It's one of the main reasons I've been hoping for version 3. Hope it is released soon.
Can your give examples of remote control software with a "call back" feature?

Well, RClient is a viewer-side client that was put out by VolmSoft for RAdmin 2.1. It's shareware, and hasn't been updated for 2.2 (and certainly not 3.0),

Thanks for the pointers.

I'm sure you've seen the third party tools that are available now for your 2.1 & 2.2 versions: RClient, which has a nice network scan feature; RHelper, a nice little push install script, just to name a couple that I use. We the devoted beta testers are your best resource.

Greetings,

Can you tell us more about these "3rd party tools"? I am uanare of their existence or whereabouts.

Thanks,

Is Dmitri Znosko, still working with Famatech?

Directory synchronization with RAdmin3 ?

If not full sync capabilities: at least the option of copying files "one way" which have a newer timestamp would be very helpful.
