Using Radmin Activation Server
Radmin Activation Server is a tool that was designed to deploy and activate Radmin software within the large network.
1. Download Radmin Server MSI install file (rserv31.msi)
2. Download and install Radmin Activation Server (ractsrv1.msi)
Install ractsrv1.msi on any Windows-based computer (Windows 2000 or higher) inside of the network that:
- has Internet access and
- is accessible from computers within your network.
3. Run "Radmin Server Installation Configurator" tool
From the Start menu select "Programs" - "Radmin Activation Server" - "Modify Radmin Server MSI installation". Browse to select Radmin Server MSI file you have downloaded in step 1 and click Next.

4. Radmin Server MSI modification
During modification you will be asked if you want to give access to users from remote computer’s "Administrators" group:

In case of proper rights management, local "Administrators" are usually those who are intended to give access to. You can uncheck this option, but then you will have to create "mst" file with custom security settings for radmin server MSI, as described here.
On next window you are proposed to set the name (or IP address) and the port of the Radmin Activation Server, License code (applicable to your quantity of computers), and time interval between attempts to receive activation in case if Activation Server will be down or inaccessible:

Please double check the name of activation server and license code, as the mistake in its values will show only after mass installation.
5. Install modified MSI
Modified MSI can be installed:
- manually,
- using Domain Policy (see the Network Installation Guide),
- using MSI installation tools or
- just supplied to your employees.
After the deployment on the computers inside of your network the installed Radmin Server software will connect to Radmin Activation Server and the activation will complete automatically. You can check the Activation server log for the traces of activations.
